Samsung launches all-in-one shopping service Samsung Mall

Samsung has rolled out a mobile app exclusively for the Indian market called Samsung Mall. The main feature of the shopping service, that comes preloaded on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone, is visual search that allows users to click photos of a product or select a pre-existing one from the gallery and then search for it online. Here's more on it.

Users can shop from multiple websites on Samsung Mall

Further, Samsung Mall lets users shop from across multiple websites so that they can find the best deals available in a pay-as-you-go model. The app also features a universal cart where products from multiple shopping websites can be added and reviewed. Samsung has partnered with Amazon, Jabong, ShopClues and Tata CLiQ for the same.

Samsung holds press event to announce Galaxy On7 Prime

Samsung held a press conference for the launch of the Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone even though it is merely a rehashed version of older phones like the Galaxy On Nxt and the Galaxy J7 Prime. At the event, it was clear that the launch of the phone was an excuse to announce and show off the make-in-India Samsung Mall service.

Features, specifications of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone

As for the smartphone, it features a 5.5-inch display, a 13MP rear and front camera, and is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core processor. Starting at Rs. 12,990 the device will be available in two storage variants of 4GB RAM/64GB and 3GB RAM/32GB from January 20. The phone comes in black and gold colors and can be bought exclusively from Amazon and Samsung Shop.
