Product details
Specs are fully standalone
Specs are described by Snap as "a wearable computer built into see-through augmented reality glasses." The company promises that these glasses are "fully standalone, with no puck and no tether," possibly taking a dig at Apple's Vision Pro which is connected to a separate battery pack. Specs will be available in two sizes: a 47mm model weighing 132g and a 52mm model weighing 136g. They will also have removable inserts for different prescriptions.
Design features
Design of the specs
Specs come with a distinctive design, featuring wide, bold frames that set them apart from other smart glasses. The device is equipped with visible light and infrared cameras, with an LED bar glowing in the middle while recording. Both lenses of the Specs can display content using Snap's proprietary liquid crystal on silicon technology, offering a 51-degree field of view and displaying 16 million colors.
Tech specs
Specs offer 4 hours of battery life
Specs are powered by two Snapdragon processors, one focused on "computer vision" and the other on running AR Lenses. This combination provides fast hand tracking, low latency, and responsive interactions that make digital content feel anchored in the real world. The glasses also offer up to four hours of battery life per charge, with a charging case extending that to 20 hours total.
Charging innovation
Specs come with a unique charging solution
Specs come with a unique charging solution, a cable that snaps magnetically to the side of the glasses. If you plug one end into something like a phone, computer, or gaming device, you can stream content from those devices and display it on your Specs. This innovative feature was highlighted by Snap CEO Evan Spiegel during his keynote at the AWE 2026 conference.
