The iPhone SE 2 will feature Face ID, notch display
According to reports, the iPhone SE 2 will launch in September this year. Earlier, the device was expected to launch either in May or at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 in June. Apple is currently deciding on the design of the device and working on multiple prototypes. The phone will have a notch display and Face ID support similar to the iPhone X.
iPhone SE 2 might have glass back panel, headphone jack
The iPhone SE 2 might have either a 6-inch display or a 4-inch display like the original iPhone SE. According to leaks and rumors, the phone will have a glossy back panel instead of an aluminum one (like in the iPhone SE), indicating that it could be glass to support wireless charging like in the iPhone X.
Unreliable leaks and rumors
Further, the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack is more surprising as that is something Apple has done away with in its devices long ago. Other rumors suggest the phone will feature 2GB RAM, 32GB/128GB inbuilt storage, HEIF/HEVC media recordings support, bezel-less display, and water resistance capabilities. It might be powered by iPhone 7's A10 Fusion processor instead of the earlier A9 chipset.
It might be made in India, sell at Rs. 23,000
The iPhone SE was launched in 2016 and was based on iPhone 5 (2012). It aimed at providing a comparatively affordable iPhone to markets like India. In fact, it was manufactured in India last year. The iPhone SE 2 is also expected to be made in India to let Apple avoid tariffs and sell it at a lower price, speculated to be Rs. 23,000.
Three other iPhones will be launched in September
Three other iPhones will be reportedly launched in September: a 5.8-inch iPhone X variant with OLED display, a 6.5-inch iPhone X variant with OLED display, and a 6-inch iPhone X variant with LCD display. Notably, case-makers have already started taking pre-orders for iPhone SE 2.
