Top 5 smartphones launching in India in June 2019

While last month turned out to be a blockbuster (thanks to OnePlus 7 Pro and Google Pixel 3a), June has a lot more in store, as far as smartphone launches are concerned. There is a long queue of smartphones that are going to arrive in India in June. So, if you're planning to buy a new handset, you can wait for these upcoming phones.

Option #1
Nokia 9 PureView: Set to launch on June 6

Unveiled back in February, the Nokia 9 PureView will go official in India on June 6. The flagship model sports a traditional 5.99-inch Quad-HD+ with sizeable bezels, IP67-rated glass body, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It runs on a Snapdragon 845 chipset, combined with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Under the hood, the phone packs a 3,320mAh battery with wireless charging support.

Information
Nokia 9 PureView offers a novel penta camera setup

The Nokia 9 PureView houses a five-camera setup, comprising 12MP (f/1.8) sensors which include three monochrome and two RGB sensors. Each sensor captures a shot which is then merged to create a more detailed final image. Up front, the phone sports a 20MP selfie snapper.

Option #2
Honor 20 Pro: India launch scheduled for June 11

Huawei-backed Honor will launch the Honor 20 Pro in India on June 11. The phone features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ punch hole display with 92% screen-to-body ratio, glass chassis, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is powered by the flagship Kirin 980 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Under the hood, Honor 20 Pro packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast-charging.

Information
Honor 20 Pro offers a 48MP quad camera

The Honor 20 Pro features a quad-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.4, OIS) main sensor, a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4, OIS) telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor. Up front, there's a 32MP selfie snapper.

Option #3
Samsung Galaxy M40: To launch in India on June 11

As the latest addition to its all new M-series of mid-range handsets, Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy M40 in India on June 11. The phone is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O display with a polycarbonate body. Under the hood, it is likely to get a Snapdragon 675 processor, paired with 6GB RAM, 128GB of storage and a 3,500mAh battery.

Information
Samsung Galaxy M40 to offer a 32MP triple-lens rear camera

According to a leak, the triple camera array on the Galaxy M40 will comprise a 32MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP lens for capturing depth information. Up front, the phone is tipped to offer a 16MP selfie snapper.

Option #4
Nubia Red Magic 3: Expected to launch on June 12

ZTE-owned Nubia is expected to launch its flagship gaming phone, the Red Magic 3, in India on June 12. It sports a conventional 6.65-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, customizable LED strips, and a dedicated liquid+air cooling system. Under the hood, the phone offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, upto 12GB RAM, upto 256GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Information
Nubia Red Magic 3 offers a single rear camera

In this day and age of multiple cameras thronging smartphones, Nubia's Red Magic 3 comes across as an oddity. The flagship phone offers a single 48MP (f/1.7) rear camera and a single 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing camera for selfies.

Option #5
ASUS ZenFone 6: Expected to launch on June 16

Rivaling OnePlus 7 Pro, ASUS is likely to launch the ZenFone 6 in India on June 16. With an all-screen design and curved glass body, the phone offers a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with upto 8GB RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Lastly, the ZenFone 6 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast-charging.

The ASUS ZenFone 6 features a motorized dual-lens rear camera comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. Notably, this camera module flips up to serve as a front-facing camera, offering high-resolution selfies, HDR10+, and 4K recording at 60fps.
