Vivo X Fold officially previewed: Check design and features

Vivo is all set to launch its first-ever foldable smartphone, X Fold, on April 11. In the latest development, the company has officially confirmed the design of the phone via a teaser. As per the teaser, the phone will have an inward folding design with a punch-hole cut-out on both the outer and inner displays. It will be first introduced in China.
- Vivo is gearing up to become the latest entrant to the foldable segment with the X Fold. Although some expected the company to come up with something new like an outward folding design, it has gone the tried and tested way of in-fold.
- The Galaxy Z Fold-like folding mechanism is nothing new but the minimal crease will certainly get people excited.
The Vivo X Fold will feature an inward folding design with a minimal crease. The outer display will be curved with a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, while the inner panel will have a punch-hole cut-out on the right side. The handset is expected to bear a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ cover display and an 8.0-inch QHD+ foldable screen. Both the displays will offer a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Vivo X Fold will flaunt a quad rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary shooter, a 48MP ultra-wide snapper, a 12MP portrait lens with 2x zoom, and an 8MP periscope sensor with 5x zoom. Up front, it will have a single selfie camera.
The Vivo X Fold will be fueled by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it will boot Android 12-based Funtouch OS and house a 4,600mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging support. For connectivity, it should offer support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth.
The official pricing details of the Vivo X Fold will be announced at the time of its launch. The handset is expected to be available in Blue, Crimson, and Orange color options.
