    What's the story

    As yet another Y-series smartphone to undergo price revision, Vivo has slashed the price of its Y83 Pro in India.

    The phone has received a permanent price cut of Rs. 1,000 and now retails for Rs. 13,990.

    Notably, Y83 Pro was launched in India in August at Rs. 15,990 and had received a Rs. 1,000 price cut last month.

    Recalling the Vivo Y83 Pro: At a glance

    Up front, the Vivo Y83 Pro sports a notched display and a slim bottom bezel to offer a screen-to-body ratio of around 83%.

    On the back, the phone houses a dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor.

    As far as display is concerned, the Y83 Pro features a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) FullView 2.0 screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

    In terms of optics, the Vivo Y83 offers a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) primary sensor, paired with a 2MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor and Phase Detection Auto Focus.

    Up front, the phone gets an 8MP (f/2.2) selfie camera which comes with several AI-based image enhancing features like Face beauty.

    The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB).

    Under the hood, the Vivo Y83 Pro packs a 3,260mAh battery and runs Android Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0.

    Further, you get all standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS among others.
