YouTube TV now streams C-SPAN channels for everyone
YouTube TV just added C-SPAN, C-SPAN2, and C-SPAN3 to its base package—so you can now catch live, unfiltered coverage of Congress and public affairs straight from your phone or TV.
These channels join the news lineup alongside CNN and Fox News, making it easier to follow what's actually happening in government.
What's new with these channels?
C-SPAN gives you nonstop access to Senate and House sessions plus public affairs content—no commentary, just the facts.
YouTube TV pays about 87 cents per subscriber each year for these networks (pretty much what cable pays), but there's no extra charge for users.
If you're into politics or want to see how decisions get made, this is a solid upgrade.
First major streamer with full C-SPAN access
YouTube TV is now the first big streaming service to offer all three C-SPAN channels.
Disney struck a similar agreement with C-SPAN for its own cable-esque services (Fubo and Hulu with Live TV) at the same time, though the channels have yet to launch on those services.
YouTube TV just made it way easier for anyone curious about US politics to tune in whenever they want.
