    Who is this new shooting sensation Manu Bhaker?

    Manu Bhaker, a 16-year-old prodigy is India's new shooting hero. The Haryana-born girl has won two gold medals in the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Mexico. This is Manu's senior World Cup debut and she has started with a bang by becoming the youngest Indian to win a gold in the prestigious event. Here is a look at one of the best sporting talents.

    Bhaker helps India stay atop

    Bhaker has won 2 gold medals in two days to help India go big. India's tally at the ISSF World Cup has risen to seven medals. The Asian powerhouse stay atop on the table with three gold and four bronze medals in their kitty.

    A look at Manu Bhaker's growing years

    Born in Jhajjar, Haryana, the shooting star was introduced to the sport just two years ago in her school. She is a student of Universal Senior Secondary School in Goriya village in Jhajjar district. She used to train 5 hours everyday despite travelling 22 kms from her home to the training centre. Prior to professional shooting, she excelled in a vast number of sports.

    In a world of her own

    A state level champion in skating, Manu has shown she was born to excel in the world of sports. She has also won medals in athletics, a gold in Tang ta (Manipuri Martial art) and a national medal in Karate. After joining shooting, she became a national champion in all three categories. She won 15 medals in the National Championships in December 2017.

    What next for India's golden girl?

    Her main focus will be the Commonwealth Games next month and the Asian Games. She could set the board rolling in creating a zone for herself. Manu wants to be a doctor in the future and with her talent, she could achieve that dream too.
