Afghanistan's Asian Games men's tournament has ended in a washout against India for the second consecutive time.
They had previously taken the silver medal in Hangzhou in 2023 after their final against higher-seeded India was washed out after 18.2 overs of the first innings.
The persistent rain and dark clouds over Nagoya led to no play being possible, resulting in India's automatic progression to the semi-finals under knockout rules.

In another match, Pakistan also advanced to the men's semi-finals after their quarter-final against Hong Kong was abandoned due to rain.
They progressed on the basis of their higher ranking over Hong Kong.
This means both India and Pakistan have reached the last four without playing their respective quarter-finals.
