IPL 2026 auction: What is remaining purse of all teams?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction will take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. Ahead of the event, teams are assessing their current rosters and identifying key areas that need strengthening. The auction's strategy will depend heavily on each team's remaining purse. While the allotted purse is of ₹125 crore, teams will enter the auction with different available amounts, depending upon their lists of retained players. Here we look at the remaining purse of all 10 teams.
CSK & KKR
CSK and KKR will be in action
Kolkata Knight Riders will head into the auction with the biggest purse - ₹64.3 crore. However, they have 13 slots still to fill, out of which a maximum of six can be overseas buys. Chennai Super Kings have the second-largest budget at ₹43.4 crore. They have 10 slots to fill (4 overseas). No other team even has a purse of even ₹30 crore.
DC & GT
What about DC and GT?
Delhi Capitals have retained players like Axar Patel, KL Rahul, and Kuldeep Yadav. They have a remaining purse of ₹21.80 crore with eight slots to fill (5 overseas). Their auction strategy must be precise. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have names like Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, andMohammed Siraj among others in their squad. They have five slots (4 overseas) to fill at the auction, with their budget being ₹12.90 crore.
KKR & RR
LSG and RR have some shopping to do
Lucknow Super Giants, led by Rishabh Pant, have ₹22.9 crore to spend after releasing seven players, including David Miller and Ravi Bishnoi. They later bagged Mohammed Shami in a trade deal. LSG have six slots to fill, out of which a maximum of four can be overseas. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have ₹16.05 crore left in their purse for the auction with nine slots still to fill (one overseas).
SRH and RCB
SRH have a purse of ₹25.5 crore
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have ₹25.5 crore left after parting ways with several players. The releases include Adam Zampa and Rahul Chahar. They can add a maximum of 10 players (2 overseas) to their squad. Meanwhile, defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained their core, but will look to further strengthen their squad. They have ₹16.4 crore available with 8 slots (2 overseas) to fill.
PBKS & MI
PBKS, MI have little to do
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings have retained most of their players as they have just ₹11.50 crore left in their purse for the auction, with four slots still to fill (two overseas). Mumbai Indians are at the bottom of the list with just ₹2.75 crore left to spend. The five-time champions have five slots to fill, out of which only one can be a foreign pick.
