Isco lashes out at Zidane over lack of game-time

    What's the story

Spain's hat-trick hero Isco was the chief architect of their 6-1 victory over Argentina on Tuesday.

Post the match, Isco hit out at his Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane for not giving him enough game time.

In 2017/18 La Liga, Isco has started 18 times from 29 games and he has completed 90 minutes on just 4 occasions for Real Madrid.

    Quote

Isco is frustrated over lack of game time

"At Real I don't have the kind of confidence that footballer needs; maybe the problem is me and it's just the way it is with the amount of good footballers there. Of course, I want to show Zidane I can be counted on." Isco said.

    Bench warmer

Gareth Bale's return has pushed Isco to the bench

Isco was a central figure for Real Madrid at the start of the season.

But he has been struggling to find game time since January due to Gareth Bale's return to fitness.

This has made the 25-year-old, who is in the prime of his career, frustrated.

Rumors are doing the rounds that Isco will be heading out of Madrid soon.

    Quote

Isco believes Spain heroics will help him

"When a player isn't a key part of his team or isn't getting regular games, it's matches like these with the national side that give you life...I'm happy to work hard, improve to try and become a starter for club and country." Isco said.

    75 million bid

Manchester City interested in Isco's services

Isco's current situation has drawn the interest of Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola.

Pep wants to make Isco a part of City's squad and is ready to bid £75 million for his services.

The 25-year-old has already proved that he is one of the finest talents across the globe and is used to playing alongside the best players in the world.

    Plenty of options

Is Manchester City the right place for Isco?

Manchester City have tried to lure Isco twice but have failed.

However, now the equation seems to have changed.

At the prime of his career, Isco doesn't want to settle for a place on the bench.

But, considering the plethora of attacking-talent at City, he could find himself in a similar position even there.

For sure, it won't be an easy decision for him
