The entire Kuwait Football Association (KFA) board has stepped down following severe mismanagement during a FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Iraq. "The board members of the Kuwait Football Association tendered resignations en masse," reported KUNA, Kuwait's official news agency, citing a statement from KFA.

In addition to the board's resignation, the KFA has also accepted the departures of its secretary-general, Salah al-Qanai, and public relations head, Mohamed Bou Abbas. Both of them had been suspended since Wednesday due to what the association termed as "unacceptable events." The resignations come in the wake of severe criticism over poor management during a crucial World Cup qualifier match.
