Shooting teenage star Manu Bhaker creates world record yet again

2018 Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Manu Bhaker reigned supreme at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. The teenager was, once again, in the groove as she set a world record score to clinch gold medal in 10m air pistol event. The Haryana girl shot 242.5 to clinch the top prize in the event. A dream 2018 for 'Golden Girl' Manu Bhaker

The 16-year-old shooting star has had a phenomenal 2018 so far, as she continues to bag the top prizes. She started the year on a strong note after winning the gold at the Junior World Cup in Australia. It was followed by another top prize at the Senior World Cup in Mexico. After CWG delights, Bhaker now has clinched another gold medal.

Bhaker sees off China's Kaiman Lu

Bhaker has amassed 7 individual gold medals in ISSF events. Interestingly, her medal in Germany was the third occasion when she has created a new world record. She shrugged off China's Kaiman Lu, who finished second with an effort of 236.9.

India's performance in Suhl

India have already seized 10 gold medals at the ongoing tournament. Elavenil Valarivan and Divyansh Singh Panwar were the latest winners in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Junior event. Meanwhile, Anish Bhanwala bagged a bronze in the Junior Men's final of the 25m rapid fire event. This was Anish's 4th international medal of the year.
