Indian batting superstars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli recently recorded their 20th century partnership in ODIs. The historic milestone was achieved during the first ODI against South Africa in Ranchi on Sunday. Kohli scored a fine 135 while Rohit was dismissed for 57. The duo added 136 runs for the second wicket as India posted 349-8 and later won by 17 runs. Here we look at the pairs with the most century partnerships in ODIs.

Rohit & Kohli - 20 century stands
The aforementioned Ranchi ODI saw Rohit and Kohli become just the third pair in ODI history to complete 20 stands of 100 or more. According to ESPNcricinfo, the duo has 5,619 runs between them from 102 ODI innings. This also includes 19 half-century partnerships. They have returned unbeaten in this regard six times. Their ODI average as a pair goes past 58 (58.53). Their tally of 12 stands of 150 or more is the joint-most for any pair.

Dilshan & Sangakkara - 20 century stands
Sri Lankan legends Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara also recorded 20 stands of 100 or more as a pair in ODIs. Having batted 108 times together in the format, the two talismans added 5,475 runs at an average of 53.67. This also includes 19 half-century stands, with their best partnership being 210*. They have also returned unbeaten six times while batting together.

Tendulkar & Ganguly - 26 century stands
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly top the list with a staggering 26 century stands in ODIs. The two former Indian openers batted together in 176 innings and collected 8,227 runs at an average of 47.55. No other pair has even 6,000 runs in this format. They also have 29 half-century stands to their name, with their best partnership being an impressive 258-run stand.
