Shanthakumaran Nair Sreesanth, commonly known as S Sreesanth, is an Indian professional cricket player and film actor who has played all formats of the game. The right-handed batsman is primarily used as a bowler in his team. As of 2021, he plays first-class cricket for Kerala. Initially, Sreesanth started his cricket career as a leg-spinner but later changed his style to a fast bowler. In 2000, he was selected in the National Cricket Academy. Following this, he made his first-class debut against Goa in the 2002-2003 domestic season of Ranji Trophy where he claimed 22 wickets in seven matches. In 2005, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka, and in 2006, he made his Test debut against England. On his Test debut, he picked up four wickets in his first innings. In 2006, he bagged the Man of the Match award for the high voltage series against Pakistan. He was banned for a lifetime by BCCI for spot-fixing in IPL 2013. Sreesanth has played in the IPL for Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Rajasthan Royals, and Kings XI Punjab. He participated in Bigg Boss in 2018 and was the runner-up.
