The IPL 2019 auction was a thrilling ride, and a domestic cricketer who has hit the jackpot is Shivam Dube of Mumbai.
The all-rounder has been picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a mammoth sum of Rs. 5 crore.
This is one of the largest amounts ever spent on a domestic cricketer in the IPL.

Only yesterday, during Ranji Trophy match against Baroda, Dube put up such a heroic performance that many have begun to feel this is the reason RCB went all-out for him.
Dube fired five sixes in as many balls, narrowly missing the target of six consecutive sixes, a record held by Ravi Shastri.
He is currently the second-highest scorer for Mumbai in this Ranji season.
Dube has played six first-class matches. He already has two centuries and four half-centuries to his name, with an impressive average of 63.00.
He has also collected 22 scalps in these matches, with his best figure being 7/84 in a match.
Dube has taken 10 wickets in 13 T20s he has played so far. Further, he has scored 189 runs, averaging 23.62.
In his first Ranji match for Mumbai in 2017, Dube caught everyone's attention.
Mumbai were battling Karnataka, and Dube ended up with figures of 5/98 with the ball.
He also scored 70 for Mumbai. Even though, Mumbai lost the match but Dube made a mark.
Further, He knocked up an impressive strike-rate of 137.09 when Mumbai won the Vijay Hazare this year.
Varun Chakaravarthy has surpassed Dube in terms of money spent for his services, with Kings XI Punjab picking up the player for a sum of Rs. 8.4 crore.
Rajasthan Royals splashed the cash on Jaydev Unadkat, also spending Rs. 8.4 crore for him.
Sam Curran, who impressed with his Test performances against India, was picked up for Rs. 7.20 crore by KXIP.
