    What's the story

A spirited Team India under a young MS Dhoni went on the win the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in 2007.

The ground-breaking achievement started a wave of T20 cricket across the globe.

Fourteen years later, India will embark on to their trip to the Caribbean and USA in quest for their second T20 World Cup title.

Here are some of India's greatest wins.

    #1

    India vs Australia, Durban, 2007

India claimed the 2007 T20 World Cup title after beating Pakistan.

However, India's semi-final victory against the mighty Australians in Durban was their toughest.

Beating a star-studded Australia across formats at that time was no mean feat.

India racked up 188/5, riding on Yuvraj Singh's brilliant 30-ball 70. They later restricted Australia to 173/7 even though they were 134/2 at one stage.

    #2

    India vs Pakistan, MCG, 2022

The India-Pakistan clash in the 2022 T20 World Cup was one for the ages.

India were reduced to 31/4 while chasing 160 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya joined forces thereafter, adding 113 runs.

While Hardik departed, Kohli powered India to one of their greatest victories in T20I cricket. He slammed a 53-ball 82* (6 fours and 4 sixes).

    #3

    India vs Australia, Mohali, 2016

India aced a similar run-chase against Australia in the 2016 T20 World Cup in Mohali.

The Men in Blue were down to 94/4 in 13.6 overs while chasing 161 in Mohali.

Kohli single-handedly took on the Aussie bowlers, guiding India to victory alongside Dhoni.

The former smashed an unbeaten 82 off 51 balls (9 fours and 2 sixes).

    #4

    India vs Bangladesh, Bengaluru, 2016

India's low-scoring 2016 encounter against Bangladesh in Bengaluru witnessed the brilliance of Dhoni.

Dhoni, whose stunning glovework grabbed eyeballs, marched India to victory from a spot of bother.

Bangladesh were set at 126/5 to chase 146. A young Hardik bowled the final over as two runs were required off the last ball.

Dhoni's majestic sprint to run out Mustafizur Rahman bailed India out.
