Star Pakistan batter Babar Azam ended his drought for an international hundred with a brilliant knock against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi. His knock of 102* runs off 119 balls helped Pakistan win the second ODI and seal the three-match series 2-0. Notably, this was Babar's first international hundred since August 2023, and his 20th in ODIs. On this note, we list down the fastest batters to complete 20 ODI hundreds in terms of innings.

David Warner - 142 innings
At number four, we have former Australian opener David Warner, who took 142 innings to attain the milestone. Warner ended his prolific ODI career with 6,932 runs from 161 matches at a brilliant average of 45.30. His tally of 22 tons in the format is only second to Ricky Ponting (29) among Aussie players. The southpaw also clocked 33 fifties, with 179 being his best score.

According to Cricbuzz, Babar is the third-fastest to score 20 ODI centuries .He achieved this feat in his 136th inning. Babar's latest century takes him to 6,467 runs from 139 ODI matches at an average of 53.89. The star batter also has 37 fifties under his belt. Meanwhile, Babar now has the joint-most ODI tons for Pakistan as he went par with Saeed Anwar.

Virat Kohli - 133 innings
Indian cricket star Virat Kohli is second on the list, having scored his 20th century in just 133 innings. Across 305 matches, the Indian batter has scored 14,255 runs with a strike rate of 93.26 His tally includes 51 tons, the most in the format. He also owns 75 fifties. Kohli, who is the second-highest run-getter in ODIs, averages a magnificent 57.71 in the format.

One of the finest openers in ODI cricket, Hashim Amla tops this list, having taken just 108 innings to complete 20 hundreds. In 181 ODI games, Amla finished with 8,113 runs at 49.46. He registered 27 tons and 39 fifties. He is the third-highest scorer for SA in ODI cricket after Jacques Kallis (11,550) and AB de Villiers (9,427). Amla's tally of 27 ODI tons is the highest for a SA batter.
