Preview and final predictions for WWE Fastlane 2019Last updated on Mar 10, 2019, 11:56 am
As the WrestleMania season kicks in, WWE prepare for the final stop before the Showcase of Immortals.
The Fastlane pay-per-view is all set to take place this Sunday, as it would decide the fate of a number of superstars and sow seeds for potential matches at the mega event, next month.
Let us analyze the same and predict possible outcomes of the matches.
New Day or Rusev Day?
Ever since Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura have formed a team, it is being considered as one of the weirdest alliances till date.
Despite both having their differences, they see to be going along well for now.
Nonetheless, their rivalry with The New Day could make them better, provided Rusev Day prevails.
However, is the Power of Positivity strong enough?
Prediction: New Day wins clean.
619 vs Tranquilo
Can Rey Mysterio keep the Latino Heat alive against Andrade?
Two of Mexico's greatest superstars are set to face off against each other as veteran Rey Mysterio takes on Mexico's new sensation Andrade.
While Mysterio has been an inspiration for Andrade, the latter feels that it's his time to shine while Mysterio's run is over.
However, Mysterio is out to prove that he is not done yet.
Prediction: Mysterio wins via 619 and pinfall
Can the stars from NXT make an instant tag impact?
The Revival has got a new lease of life by winning the Raw tag-team titles last month.
However, it won't be easy to stay on top as they get set to defend the titles in a triple-threat tie against former champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, along with new NXT call-ups Alastair Black and Ricochet.
Prediction: Revival retains by pinning Roode and Chad.
Asuka vs Mandy
Can God's Greatest Creation overpower the Empress of Tomorrow?
Ever since Asuka won the SmackDown Women's title, she has been having a smooth run as she outlasts every opponent on her way.
However, Mandy made a name for herself after pinning Asuka, a few weeks back on SmackDown. This helped her get a championship opportunity.
Nonetheless, is Mandy really ready for Asuka?
Prediction: Asuka makes Mandy tap out easily.
Can the Boss and Hug Connection overcome the Samoan sisters?
Bayley and Sasha Banks created history when they became the first-ever WWE Women's Tag-Team champions last month.
However, their reign could be short-lived as the deadly duo of Nia Jax and Tamina would look to tame the champions in their first title defense.
Nonetheless, it would be foolish for WWE to make the champions drop the title so soon.
Prediction: Bayley and Sasha retain.
Besties vs Usos
Is the Best Tag-Team in the World strong enough?
Shane McMahon and The Miz shocked quite a few when they became the SmackDown Tag-Team champions at the Royal Rumble.
However, their reign was short-lived as they lost the titles to the Usos last month.
However, will the Usos drop the title so soon? Also, is a heel Shane on the cards?
Prediction: Usos retain, while Shane turns heel and attacks Miz post match.
Brothers of Justice
Can Hounds of Justice stand tall for one last time?
After Dean Ambrose turned on Seth Rollins last October, hardly anyone thought that THE SHIELD would reunite anytime soon.
However, following Roman Reign's return, things have changed quickly, as the brothers get set to face the team of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.
Being termed as One Last Time, can Ambrose have one last laugh before leaving WWE?
Prediction: SHIELD wins clean.
Charlotte vs Becky
Is The Man strong enough for The Queen?
Ever since Survivor Series 2018, it was evident that both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are set to battle Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.
It became more evident when Becky won the Rumble this year and the controversy that followed.
With the WWE Universe behind Becky, it seems that she is all set on her way to WrestleMania.
Prediction: Ronda interferes, resulting in No Contest.
Bryan vs Owens
The return of the Kevin Owens Show!
Although the match is not what it was supposed to be, it is what it is. While Kofi Kingston was the original challenger, chairman Vince McMahon had some other plans.
Nonetheless, fans won't mind Owens dethroning Bryan as the new WWE champion.
However, regardless of the result, Kofi might have some role to play.
Prediction: Bryan retains or Kofi interferes for a No Contest.
