President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the strike in a post on Telegram.

"A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians used a drone to attack the platform where regular suburban commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were located....My condolences to the families and loved ones," he wrote.

Moscow has shown no signs of moving toward de-escalation

Zelenskyy emphasized that Moscow has shown no signs of moving toward de-escalation, even after sanctions on certain Russian oligarchs and parts of the energy sector were lifted.

"How many such terrorist strikes has Russia launched against our people - even after sanctions were lifted from certain Russian oligarchs and the energy sector - instead of moving toward de-escalation?" he wrote.
