Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Slovakia's highest civilian honor, the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), on Monday. First visit by Indian PM to Slovakia

On Sunday evening, PM Modi arrived in Bratislava to a ceremonial welcome, which included the traditional Slovak greeting of bread and salt. He paid tribute to Slovakia's fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Bratislava. Accompanied by Prime Minister Fico, he honored those who contributed to Slovakia's liberation during World War II.
