Watch 13 Stephen King horror movies by Halloween, win $1,300

If you're a movie buff with a weakness for a good horror flick, there's probably no better way to spend the days leading up to Halloween than binge-watch 13 film adaptations of Stephen King's novels. Not up for it? Okay. How about for $1,300? The offer comes from the online DISH retailer USDish. Here's what it's all about and how you could sign up.

Movies
Firstly, these are the movies that are on the table

These are movies that you have to watch to successfully complete the job: Carrie (the 1976 original or 2013 remake), Children of the Corn (1984), Christine (1983), Creepshow (1982), Cujo (1983), Dreamcatcher (2003), It (the 1990 original or 2017 remake), The Mist (2007), Pet Sematary (the 1989 original or 2019 remake), Salem's Lot (1979), The Shining (1980), Thinner (1996), and Misery (1990).

Job
This is what the job entails

All you have to do is detail your experience while binge-watching the movies. You would be required to track your heart rate and jump scares, who you would be watching the movies with, how you were feeling before watching the film and how/if that changed after watching the films. You would even be required to log your sleep, among other things, on a worksheet.

Equipment
Company will supply you with a 'survival kit'

The worksheet will be supplied to you along with a "survival kit." The kit is to "help equip you for watching" and includes a flashlight, blanket, popcorn, candy, along with some Stephen King paraphernalia "to set the stage for what is sure to be a terrifying experience." You will also be given a Fitbit to track your heart rate during the intense scenes.

Information
Apart from $1,300 you'll also get a theater gift card

If you do everything perfectly, you will be given a movie theater gift card to watch a 14th film, which winners can exchange for a screening of It: Chapter 2 or Doctor Sleep. The winner, who will be chosen at random, will also win $1,300.

Application
Here's how you can apply for the job

Fortunately, the job does not require a "degree" or "a drug test." All it requires is for you to submit a write-up of 200 words or less (or a video if you prefer) on how you celebrate Halloween and why you would be perfect for the job. Additionally, the application requires you to be above the age of 18 and a US citizen.
