The latest editions of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class are out there waiting for your money. But with both models offering newer, sportier designs, improved performance, better safety features, and several new hi-tech stuff in the cabin, which one should you invest in?

2019 BMW 3-Series v/s Mercedes C-Class: At a glance
The BMW 3 Series, with its bigger hexagonal kidney grilles, twin-LED headlamps, and larger trapezoidal air intakes, looks dapper than ever. In fact, experts argue it looks more like a sports car than a luxury sedan.
In comparison, the new Mercedes C-Class looks more refined and fluid with attractive character lines, new LED headlamps, and slightly tweaked ORVMs.

The BMW sedan gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.30-inch center display while the Mercedes rival gets a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a new steering wheel as well as dual-touchpad control system.

The BMW 3-Series gets an intelligent personal assistant (like Alexa or Siri) and a Digital Key feature that lets you lock or unlock your car using your smartphone. And since it's 2019, it also has a wireless charging pad for your latest flagship phone.
The C-Class is also laden with a bunch of stuff including driver-assist functions and a Qi-based wireless-charging system.

Power and performance
The 2019 C-Class is powered by a new BS-VI compliant 2.0-liter diesel engine which can offer upto 469hp of peak power (depending on the model). The motor comes paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that powers the rear wheels.
The all-new BMW 3-Series is also offered in 2.0-liter engine options, offering a maximum of 254hp via the eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.

Which one should you buy?
The 2019 BMW 3 Series costs Rs. 41.40 lakh for the entry-level Sport variant while the facelifted C-Class starts at Rs. 40 lakh with the C 220d Prime trim.
Undoubtedly, both models offer a great driving pleasure and are well laced with hi-tech and safety features.
But, with better performance parameters under its kitty, C-Class looks like a winner.
