Tata Nexon Kraz edition launched, starts at Rs. 7.57 lakh
Commemorating the sale of over one lakh units of its popular crossover, the Nexon, Tata has introduced limited-edition Nexon Kraz in India. The new model, available at a starting price of Rs. 7.57 lakh, is offered in both manual as well as automatic transmission options. Meanwhile, the Kraz edition gets a host of styling and interior updates while retaining the mechanics of standard model.
The Tata Nexon Kraz edition features a premium sporty design, a dual-tone black-silver color scheme with a cascading grille, sleek headlamps, trapezoidal air-intake, and body-colored door handles. Separately, the Kraz edition logo on the tailgate and orange accents on the grille, ORVMs as well as alloy wheels differentiate it from the standard variant. Apart from that, it remains the same as the standard Nexon.
Talking about interiors, the Nexon Kraz edition gets orange accents on the seats and air vent surrounds as well as black-colored elements on the dashboard, doors, and steering wheel. The crossover comes with a 4-speaker audio system as well as a 7-inch infotainment panel with support for connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay - same as the standard Nexon.
The Nexon Kraz edition retains the mechanical specifications of the standard model. Hence, it is offered with 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine options. The former produces 108bhp of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque, while the latter puts out the same 108bhp power but 260Nm of maximum torque. Furthermore, both engines are available with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
Just like standard Nexon, the Kraz edition comes equipped with disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels along with ABS and EBD to avoid skidding while braking. Further, the crossover gets dual front airbags, engine immobilizer, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors as standard features.
As for the pocket pinch, the Tata Nexon Kraz edition starts at Rs. 7.57 lakh for the standard model with manual transmission and goes upto Rs. 8.17 lakh for the top-spec AMT variant. At this price point, the crossover goes up against rivals such as Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and Hyundai Venue.
