2020 Hyundai Creta to be launched on March 17

2020 Hyundai Creta, which made its India debut at the recently-concluded Auto Expo, is all set to be launched in the country on March 17. The facelifted version comes with several cosmetic as well as feature updates over the outgoing model, and shares its mechanical specifications with its cousin, the Kia Seltos. Here's our roundup.

2020 Hyundai Creta: At a glance

The 2020 Hyundai Creta comes with several styling updates over the outgoing model, but is just marginally taller and wider than the latter. Up front, it features a new cascading grille and a split headlamp setup with projector units and LED DRLs. The car also gets revised front as well as rear bumpers and newly-designed split taillamps.

    Inside the cabin

Hyundai has not revealed the interior details of the updated Creta as of now. But, the South Korean automaker has confirmed that the car will feature company's latest BlueLink 1.5 connected car technology. Apart from that, the compact SUV is likely to offer ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and six airbags, among others.

    Power and performance

The 2020 Hyundai Creta will get the same powertrain we saw on its cousin, the Kia Seltos. The car will be offered in three BS6-compliant engine options: a 1.5-liter petrol as well as diesel, and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol. The transmission duties on the car will be taken care of by a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox.

And, how much will it cost?

As far as pricing is concerned, we expect the new Hyundai Creta to come at a starting price of around Rs. 10 lakh. However, the official details will be revealed by the company on March 17 itself. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and Tata Harrier.
