2022 Toyota Glanza teased ahead of March 15 launch
Toyota is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its Glanza hatchback in India on March 15. Ahead of the launch, the Japanese automaker has released a teaser video of the car. It will feature a redesigned front section and a revamped cabin loaded with tech-based features. Some dealerships have reportedly started accepting bookings for the four-wheeler, though unofficially.
- We already know that the facelifted Glanza will be a rebranded version of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. However, the hatchback will sport distinct exterior and interior cues to differentiate it from the Baleno.
- Despite the changes it is expected to get, the car will most likely retain the same profile as its predecessor. It will be priced competitively to take on its rivals.
The 2022 Toyota Glanza will feature a muscular hood, a sloping roofline, a refreshed grille and bumper, a wide air dam, and sleek LED headlights. It will be flanked by ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, sharp body lines, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear end of the car will be graced by a window wiper, a roof-mounted antenna, and LED taillights.
The 2022 Toyota Glanza is likely to be powered by a 1.2-liter DualJet petrol motor that generates 89hp/113Nm. It could have idle start/stop technology and will be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
The 2022 Toyota Glanza will feature a 5-seater cabin with leatherette upholstery, a head-up display, automatic climate control, and a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel. It will pack a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console and Arkamys-tuned audio system. For the passengers' safety, it will have six airbags, a 360-degree-view-camera, cruise control, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, and ABS with EBD.
The official pricing and availability details of the 2022 Toyota Glanza will be announced at the time of its launch on March 15. However, we expect it to start at around Rs. 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
