What's the story

Honda has unveiled the 2026 model of its popular three-row SUV, the Pilot. The new iteration comes with a more aggressive front fascia, a larger grille, and improved technology features. The digital instrument cluster has been increased from 7.0-inch to 10.2-inch while the center touchscreen now measures 12.3-inch, up from 9.0-inch.

Interior upgrades

Enhanced interior and standard features

The 2026 Honda Pilot also comes with better sound insulation. The center infotainment display is now standard across all trims, providing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as a built-in 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. Other features like a power tailgate, roof rails, and Honda's Post-Collision Braking system are now standard on all models.

Aesthetic enhancements

New color options and trim-specific features

The 2026 Honda Pilot also gets three new color options: Smoke Blue Pearl, Solar Silver Metallic, and Ash Green Metallic. The TrailSport model now offers heated rear outboard seats and a brown leather interior option with orange stitching. The upper trims beyond EX-L have also been given some tweaks of their own for added comfort and style.

Safety upgrades

Enhanced safety and steering system

The 2026 Honda Pilot also comes with a 360-degree camera on the Touring trim, along with more premium upholstery and trim. The Elite trim gets machine-finished wheels, while ultrasuede seat accents with diamond stitching are also part of the trim selection. Notably, all models of the new Pilot have seen improvements in their steering systems for better feel and precision over previous model years.

Market launch

Pricing and availability of the 2026 Honda Pilot

The pricing for the new Honda Pilot is yet to be announced. However, given the relatively minor updates, we don't expect a significant price hike. The updated model will hit dealerships next month, starting at around $42,000 for the base Sport trim and going up to about $56,000 for the Black Edition.
