2026 Rivian R2 electric SUV lineup: Everything we know
Rivian is dropping its new R2 midsize electric SUVs in 2026, with initial versions arriving as Performance and Premium, followed by the Standard Long Range in early 2027 and a later lower-priced Standard RWD targeted at about $45,000.
The Performance model starts at $57,990 and will be the first to hit the roads.
The initial Performance, Premium, and Standard Long Range trims share a fresh midsize platform with Rivian's own motors and an 87.9 kWh battery; the later lower-priced Standard is expected to have a smaller battery pack.

The Performance trim packs 656hp, all-wheel drive, and goes 0 to 97km/h in just 3.6 seconds, plus you get features like semi-active suspension, heated and ventilated seats, and eight drive modes for different adventures.
The Premium (late 2026) starts at $53,990, while the Standard Long Range (early 2027) comes in at $48,490, offering up to 555km of range.
