Hyundai's Crater concept: Off-road style meets futuristic tech
Hyundai just dropped the Crater concept at AutoMobility LA 2025, and it's turning heads with its bold off-road look—think chunky 33-inch tires on hex wheels and a rugged stance.
The Crater will be on display at the LA Auto Show through November 30, so if you're into adventure-ready rides, this one's hard to miss.
Fresh design and clever features
Inspired by the Nexo Hydrogen up front, the Crater rocks tow hooks, beefy skid plates, and extra lights for serious trail vibes.
Inside, there's a new "Curve Of Upholstery" design with soft-touch materials and a cool suspended cylinder detail.
Instead of one big screen, you get four removable mini-screens for widgets—plus rear suicide doors for easy access.
There are even controls for hardcore off-roading and hints that future versions might pack an electric battery from the Ioniq 5 XRT.
