Mahindra's first three-row EV in India debuts on November 27
What's the story
Mahindra is all set to unveil its latest electric vehicle, the XEV 9S, in India on November 27, 2025. The new model will be a seven-seater SUV built on the INGLO Skateboard platform. This is the same architecture that supports other Mahindra cars like the XEV 9e and BE 6. The upcoming launch marks Mahindra's entry into the three-row electric vehicle segment in India.
Design
Design and features of the XEV 9S
The XEV 9S is expected to be the production version of the electric XUV700 prototype (also known as the XEV 7e). The SUV's design elements might include connected LED DRLs, a blanked-off grille, and dual-pod LED headlights like those seen on the XEV 9e. Inside, it could feature a three-screen setup similar to that of its sibling model.
Performance
Range and battery
While specific details about the powertrain of the XEV 9S are yet to be revealed, it is expected to come with a large battery pack. Following Mahindra's new-age EV standards, the SUV could offer a range of over 500km on a single charge. However, these specifications will be confirmed only after further clarification from the automaker.
