Mahindra XUV 9OO wins Green Car of the Year

Auto

Mahindra's XEV 9E just bagged the 2026 Green Car of the Year award from the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) jury, standing out for its eco-friendly push.
The award was handed over by JK Tyre's Dr. Raghupati Singhania to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra's Automotive Division, with the XEV 9E edging out rivals like Kia Carens Clavis EV and BMW iX1 LWB.

How ICOTY picks a winner

Only brand-new models made and sold in India by November 30 get considered for this award.
Since starting in 2005 with JK Tyre's backing, ICOTY has focused on cars that make real progress in sustainability—not just minor upgrades—making this win a big nod to Mahindra's green efforts.
