Maruti Suzuki's new hybrid MPV is coming soon

Maruti Suzuki is bringing a brand-new compact MPV to India by 2028-29, inspired by the Suzuki Solio.
The move is part of their push to keep leading the MPV game, where the Ertiga has been on top for six consecutive financial years.

Hybrid tech, cool features, and global plans

Codenamed 'YVF,' this MPV will get powered sliding rear doors (a nice premium touch) and a hybrid 1.2L three-cylinder engine.
Maruti aims to make over 100,000 units a year in India—including about 12,000 hybrids—and plans to export around 30,000 of them globally, especially to Europe.
It's all about making hybrids and premium features more accessible without breaking the bank.
