Revolt launches India's first artificial intelligence-enabled bikes
Revolt Intellicorp has recently launched its fully-electric RV 400 motorcycle in India. It is touted as India's first artificial intelligence-enabled bike. Alongside, the company has also introduced an entry-level variant of the RV 400 and an all-new RV 300 motorcycle. The RV 400 promises an ARAI-certified range of 156km, while the RV 300 offers a range of upto 150km on a single charge.
Both the Revolt RV 400 and RV 300 feature a semi-faired sporty look with a muscular looking fuel tank, stepped seats, sliver-colored grab rail, and blacked-out mirrors as well as alloy wheels. As for electronic features, both motorcycles house a fully-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, indicators, and taillamps.
The Revolt RV 400 packs a 3kW motor which promises a range of 156km on a single charge and it can be fueled up in less than 4 hours. On the other hand, RV 300 draws power from a 1.5kW unit which has a claimed range of upto 150km and it can be refueled in around 4.5 hours.
Interestingly, batteries of both Revolt RV 400 and RV 300 can be easily swapped at Revolt Swap stations; during emergency situations you can also order a fully-charged battery using the Revolt app.
Talking about its AI-enabled features, the top-end model of Revolt RV 400 comes loaded with a bunch of hi-tech ones including an embedded SIM, geo fencing, ability to track riding pattern, start/stop function, and artificial exhaust. There is also a lower priced variant of the RV 400 which gets most of these features. However, it misses out on artificial exhaust and start/stop function.
The braking duties on the Revolt RV 400 and the RV 300 are handled by disc brakes on both wheels along with combined braking system and regenerative braking system. Both motorcycles house upside-down (USD) forks on the front and a monoschock suspension on the rear. Moreover, the RV 400 has a top-speed of 85kmph, while the RV 300 offers a maximum speed of 65kmph.
Revolt RV 400 is priced at Rs. 1.29 lakh for the entry-level variant and goes upto Rs. 1.48 lakh for top-spec model. On the other hand, the RV 300 is priced at Rs. 1.11 lakh. Revolt has also introduced easy monthly installment plans. As part of those, RV 400 starts at Rs. 3,499/month and goes upto Rs. 3,999/month for the top model, while the RV 300 is available at Rs. 2,999/month.
