SKODA SLAVIA sedan clocks over 10,000 bookings in India

In a proud moment for Czech automaker SKODA, the SLAVIA premium sedan has received over 10,000 bookings in India. To recall, it was launched here last month. The car has sporty looks and is offered in three trim levels, namely Active, Ambition, and Style. Under the hood, it is available with a choice of 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI petrol engines.
- The SLAVIA has played a big role in boosting SKODA's sales in India. Last month, the brand sold 5,608 cars here, which is six times the figure recorded in March 2021 when just 1,159 units were retailed.
- The SLAVIA's good looks, long list of features, and decent performance are appealing to buyers. It rivals the Hyundai VERNA and Honda City.
The SKODA SLAVIA has a sloping roofline, a sculpted bonnet, a chrome-surrounded hexagonal grille, a wide air dam, and LED projector headlights with DRLs. On the sides, it is flanked by black B-pillars, ORVMs, and 16-inch alloy wheels. A shark-fin antenna, a raked windscreen, and wrap-around taillights are available on the rear end. Dimensions-wise, it is 4,541mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,651mm.
The SKODA SLAVIA runs on a 1.0-liter TSI engine that makes 113hp/175Nm and a 1.5-liter TSI mill that generates 150hp/250Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual/automatic and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The SKODA SLAVIA has a spacious cabin with ventilated front seats, split-folding rear seats, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a multifunctional steering wheel. Six airbags, ABS, a rear-view camera, EBD, and electronic stability control ensure the passengers' safety. It also packs a digital driver's display and a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for the latest connectivity options.
In India, the SKODA SLAVIA begins at Rs. 10.69 lakh for the base 1.0 TSI Active model and goes up to Rs. 17.79 lakh for the top-spec 1.5 TSI Style DSG variant (all prices, ex-showroom).
