Tata Safari finally gets a petrol option

Tata Motors has launched the Safari SUV in a petrol variant for the first time, moving beyond its all-diesel lineup.
This update comes as more buyers lean toward petrol SUVs and puts the Safari in direct competition with popular rivals like the Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.

The new Safari runs on Tata's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, expected to deliver about 168hp and 280 Nm of torque.
Both manual and automatic options are likely, with pricing set to be a bit lower than the diesel version—making it more accessible for anyone eyeing a premium SUV without stretching their budget.
