Toyota's new IMV origin: Build it your way, like IKEA

Toyota just dropped the IMV Origin concept at the Japan Mobility Show, and it's basically a car you finish building yourself.
Inspired by IKEA's modular style, this vehicle gets shipped incomplete so you can customize it for whatever you need—moving people, hauling stuff, or something totally unique.

Customization for every market

Toyota is aiming this concept especially at African markets where flexibility matters most.
They showed off versions as delivery vans and logging trucks, but the real magic is in how creative you can get—drawing inspiration from the Hilux Champ, which included mini-motorhomes or food trucks.
The IMV Origin builds on Toyota's earlier projects like the Hilux Champ, showing that cars don't have to be one-size-fits-all anymore.
