TVS's new Tangent RR concept bike is a racing beast
What's the story
TVS Motor Company has unveiled its latest supersport concept, the Tangent RR, at the ongoing EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. The aggressive-looking bike is based on a 450cc parallel-twin engine platform developed with BMW Motorrad. While specific details about the motorbike are still under wraps, it gives us a glimpse of what we can expect from the upcoming TVS Apache RR 450 supersport.
Design elements
The Tangent RR looks very sporty and aggressive
The Tangent RR concept bike boasts an aggressive and sporty look with sharp fairing and a large windshield. It features clip-on handlebars with a steering damper for better high-speed handling. The bike is expected to produce around 47hp if powered by the 450cc motor, according to TVS. The company also claims that it has a monocoque sub-frame made of composite materials for improved handling while keeping weight low.
Technical specifications
The bike gets premium Brembo brakes
The Tangent RR concept bike comes with a twin disk setup at the front, featuring premium Brembo calipers, and a single disk at the rear. It also gets an adjustable Ohlins inverted fork and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock for enhanced ride comfort. The bike rides on an aluminum swingarm with grippy slick tires, adding to its sporty appeal.
Future prospects
The production version should get electronic riding aids
The production version of the Tangent RR is expected to come with electronic riding aids such as traction control system, multiple riding modes, and cruise control system. However, the final production version of this bike is still a couple of years away from hitting the market. TVS might price it around ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom) targeting the Aprilia RS457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500 riders.
