Ai+ raises Indian phone prices up to ₹3,000 November 11
Business
Ai+, the new Indian smartphone brand, is bumping up its prices by as much as ₹3,000 starting November 11.
The company says it's because memory and component costs have gone up.
Even with the price jump, Ai+ has been selling fast: over 10 lakh phones flew off shelves in Q3 2026, and they ran out of stock sooner than expected.
Smartphone shipments across India down 20%
Ai+ isn't alone here: other brands like Lava are also hiking prices post-Diwali.
Smartphone shipments across India dropped 20% this past quarter, reaching a 10-year low as demand slowed and average prices rose.
With the rupee slipping against the dollar, importing parts is costing everyone more these days.
