AI watchdog startup Onyx emerges from stealth with $40 million funding
Onyx Security, an Israeli AI security startup, just came out of stealth after 1.5 years and scored $40 million in funding from Conviction Partners, Cyberstarts, and several angel investors.
The cash will help them grow their team and build advanced AI models to keep autonomous agents in check.
Onyx's platform uses supervisory agents to monitor AI
Onyx uses supervisory agents (think watchdogs for AI).
These digital agents spot other AIs, monitor what they're doing, and can step in instantly to approve, block, or fix actions that seem off.
This gives companies real-time protection and governance over AI agents operating in enterprise systems and workflows.
What does the platform do?
So far, Onyx says its platform discovers and monitors AI agents.
Onyx's platform monitors agents' reasoning steps and can approve, block, or correct agent actions in real time (pretty impressive for a company fresh out of stealth mode).
