Here's how to get iPhone Xs, Xs Max on launch-day

Apple's most-advanced iPhones, set to release in India on September 28, are already up for pre-orders on Flipkart, Jio, and Airtel. Those interested can get the iPhone Xs or iPhone Xs Max home delivered by pre-ordering today via any of the aforementioned retailers. However, only with Airtel, you can own the new iPhone the same day it launches in India. Here's how.

Unlike Flipkart and Jio, Airtel is offering same-day store pick-up

With Airtel, you can pre-order the new iPhone online and pick it up from your choice of Airtel Store on the day of launch. Notably, the pre-order window closes today i.e. September 24, at 11:59 PM. Once you pre-order and make the payment, you can select an Airtel Store in your vicinity from the list of options available during check out.

Airtel is offering pre-booking option to select customers only

In its terms and conditions, Airtel has mentioned that the "opportunity for pre-booking is a privileged access only for selected Airtel customers" and that eligible customers will be able to see a banner on their MyAirtel App. In case you're that lucky customer, note that store pick-up is available from September 28 - 6:00pm to 10:00pm and on September 29 - 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Other things to note regarding store pick-up option

If you have opted for the store pick-up option for your new iPhone, you will be required to carry a valid ID (PAN Card, Driving License or Aadhaar Card). Notably, store pick-up facility ends on September 29, 8pm. Hence, if you pre-ordered and failed to pick up the phone within time, your order will be canceled and money will be returned to your account.

A look at the specifications of iPhone Xs, Xs Max

The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max feature 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED Super Retina display, respectively. The Super Retina display, which now offers 60% greater dynamic range of colors, has a 458ppi of pixel density. Further, the new display also gets support for HDR 10, Dolby Vision, 120Hz touch sensitive, and 3D Touch.

    Under the hood

Both the new iPhones are powered by the 7nm A12 Bionic chip which has a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU and comes paired with an Apple-designed Neural Engine. Notably, these iPhones come in 64GB/256GB/512GB storage options, run iOS 12, and support dual-SIMs (physical SIM + e-SIM). Further, both iPhone Xs and Xs Max offer slightly more battery life than the iPhone X.

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

Both the iPhone Xs and Xs Max feature a dual rear camera setup but with improved optics, Smart HDR and efficient image processing. The setup has a 12MP (f/1.8) wide-angle camera with OIS, 1.4-micron pixels, paired with a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with OIS and 2x optical zoom. Up front, both the flagships sport a 7MP TrueDepth camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

In terms of offers, Flipkart has better deals than Airtel

Flipkart is offering up to Rs. 13,500 discount as part of an exchange offer along with EMI options starting at Rs. 4,149 per month. Moreover, credit card holders of HDFC, Axis (Buzz card) and RBL banks can avail a 5% discount on pre-ordering the phone via Flipkart. Comparatively, Airtel is offering 5% cashback on Axis and CITI Bank credit cards on 12/24 months EMI options.
