Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone new prepaid plans compared

India's leading telecom operators, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone, recently hiked the prices of their prepaid services and products in India. The revised plans are estimated to be costlier by up to 47% and have already come into effect for all users. Here, we compare which one of these telcos is offering the cheapest recharge plans in the country. Take a look.

Airtel's new plans have seen up to 47% hike

Airtel's prepaid plans have become costlier by upto Rs. 2.85/day. The new truly unlimited packs start at Rs. 19 and go upto Rs. 2,398, offering upto 3GB daily data, unlimited calling, and upto 365 days of validity. Notably, the Rs. 169 and Rs. 199 packs have been merged into a Rs. 248 pack which translates to a 47% hike for Rs. 169 plan subscribers.

Airtel's new plans come with some bundled benefits

Airtel's new unlimited packs also come with some bundled benefits including a Rs. 150 cashback on FASTag (mandatory RFID tag), a free 4-week course on Shaw Academy, Wynk Music subscription, and complimentary access to Xstream App Premium, which offers ZEE5, HOOQ, live TV, and movies.

Vodafone's plans have seen a hike of upto 42%

Vodafone's revised unlimited plans start from Rs. 149 per month and go up to Rs. 2,399 for the long-term annual packs. Depending on the recharge, you get upto 3GB daily data, 100 SMSes per day and unlimited calling to any network within India. All the unlimited packs also offer free access to Vodafone Play and ZEE5 Premium.

Jio's unlimited plans don't offer unlimited calling

Reliance Jio's new plans, now costlier by upto 40%, are comparatively cheaper than Airtel and Vodafone's tariffs. However, unlike its rivals, Jio doesn't offer truly unlimited calling benefit. The plans range from Rs. 199 to Rs. 2,199, offering upto 3GB daily data, upto 12,000 non-Jio calling minutes, and validity of upto 365 days. These packs also offer free access to Jio's suite of apps.
