Airtel restores ₹299 plan to win back users
Airtel has reintroduced its ₹299 prepaid plan to win back users after dropping it led to more people leaving: churn jumped from 2.6% to 2.9% last quarter.
With the old plan gone, folks were pushed to the pricier ₹349 option, so bringing back the ₹299 pack is Airtel's way of keeping things affordable and holding onto its base.
Postpaid adds over 1 million, ARPU ₹271
The revived ₹299 plan gives you 1GB of data per day for 28 days, pretty handy if you're not a heavy user but still want daily data without spending extra.
Meanwhile, Airtel's postpaid side is growing fast, adding over 1 million new users and pushing average revenue per user up to ₹271.
The company now has over 377 million wireless subscribers and nearly 500 million total customers, showing it's still expanding even with recent bumps in the road.
