Alex de Vigan's Physicl raises $10 million for realistic robot training
Business
Physicl, a startup led by Alex de Vigan, just landed $10 million in seed funding to make robot training way more realistic.
Their new tool, Studio, uses tech originally built for e-commerce to create 10,000 digital worlds and 100,000 virtual objects, basically giving robots tons of practice in lifelike environments so they can handle the real world better.
Physicl synthetic data helped Spaital's Echo-3
Physicl turns messy real-world data into detailed 3D simulations that actually work. Their synthetic data already helped SpAItial's product Echo-3.
Looking ahead, Physicl wants to make it easier for anyone building robots to access rich 3D models and high-quality data, so future bots can learn faster and perform better in all kinds of places.
