Amazon, Intel release Q3 results as investors eye cloud AI

Amazon and Intel are dropping their third-quarter earnings after the market closes today.

Everyone is watching Amazon's cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) progress, plus how well its online shopping business is really doing.

The company expects sales between $197 billion and $202 billion and operating income up to $26.5 billion.

Amazon revenue 12% Intel Foundry 44%

Amazon is looking at a 12% revenue boost, with AWS (its cloud arm) possibly jumping 37%. That is a big deal for tech fans.

On the Intel side, its Foundry unit could see revenue climb by 44%, thanks in part to new deals like one with Google.
