Apple's manufacturing in India just got a big boost
Apple is ramping up its presence in India, now operating facilities across eight states with help from over 40 local suppliers.
What started in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu has grown to include Gujarat, Kerala, Haryana, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh—making Apple's supply chain more local than ever.
More local partners join the Apple ecosystem
To keep things running smoothly, Apple works with three kinds of suppliers: those supporting Foxconn and Tata Electronics factories, global supply chain players, and makers of components for equipment used in iPhone's new production lines in India.
Recent additions like Hindalco (Gujarat), Wipro PARI, SFO Technologies (Kerala), Bharat Forge (Maharashtra), Jabil (Maharashtra), and VVDN Technologies (Haryana) show how Apple's network is getting bigger—and more homegrown.
