AP's aerospace and defence policy targets ₹1 lakh cr investments
Andhra Pradesh just rolled out its Aerospace & Defence Policy 4.0, aiming to turn the state into a top spot for high-tech defense manufacturing by 2030.
With a target of attracting up to ₹1 lakh crore in investments, the plan focuses on advanced tech, innovation, and boosting national security.
Focus on job creation in defense tech
This policy is all about creating real opportunities—think new jobs and hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields like drones, missiles, naval systems, and aerospace electronics.
Specialized corridors are being set up across the state for each sector, plus a DRDO Centre of Excellence is coming to Tirupati.
Already, 23 companies have invested ₹22,000 crore here and created around 17,000 jobs.
There's also extra support for startups and MSMEs with dedicated funds and subsidies—so if you're looking at careers in tech or engineering, Andhra Pradesh could soon be a place to watch.
