Bengaluru police probe Stockal Securities over unauthorized US trades
Bengaluru police are looking into Stockal Securities after several users said their US stock portfolios were sold off without permission, leading to big losses (some reports say more than ₹100 crore).
The issue came up on October 15, 2026, and now top Stockal executives have been called in for questioning.
Stockal's parent company confirmed that 13 investors were affected, and the amount involved was $6.26 million, roughly ₹58.8 crore, due to the incident.
DriveWealth September breach exposed user credentials
Turns out, this mess traces back to a cybersecurity breach at DriveWealth, Stockal's US partner, in September 2026.
The breach reportedly exposed user credentials.
Now, Bengaluru police are digging deeper to figure out exactly what went wrong and how it affected Indian investors using the platform.
