Billionaire count hits record high in 2025: UBS

Billionaires just hit a new record—there are now about 2,900 of them worldwide, with a combined wealth of $15.8 trillion, says UBS.
That's up from last year's 2,700 billionaires and $14 trillion total, thanks mostly to booming tech companies and strong stock markets.

New faces like Ben Lamm and Michael Dorrell made the list this year, while 91 newcomers inherited their fortunes (many from German pharma families).
The report also spotted some shifts: North America isn't as hot for investments anymore, Asian billionaires are stressing over tariffs, and US billionaires are more worried about inflation and global tensions.
