India targets 500GW nonfossil-fuel capacity
This move is all about cutting down on imports and powering up India's clean energy game.
The country aims to achieve 500 gigawatts of non-fossil capacity, of which about 300 gigawatts will be solar.
While India already makes a lot of solar modules and cells, the new plan, along with fresh support for making wafers and ingots, aims to fill those gaps so more of the solar supply chain is truly Made in India.
