Deepinder Goyal tops India's self-made entrepreneurs list

Business

Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Eternal (formerly Zomato), just grabbed the top spot on Hurun India's 2025 list of self-made entrepreneurs.
His company's value soared by 27% this year to ₹3.2 lakh crore, pushing last year's leader Radhakishan Damani (Avenue Supermarts) to second place after a dip in his company's valuation.

Fresh faces, rising trends, and youth power

InterGlobe Aviation's Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal made a strong debut at number three.
Paytm and Lenskart broke into the Top 10, while Razorpay and Zerodha slipped out.
The total value of all companies on the list jumped 15% to ₹42 lakh crore.
Women like Falguni Nayar and Adwaita Nayar from Nykaa stood out among 20 women featured, while young founders from Zepto showed that youth are making real waves—especially with Bengaluru still leading as India's startup hub.
